Ebook About
For years, I watched her. Drank her in as she performed in front of an empty theatre, pretending every seat was occupied, the cello settled between her legs as her dainty fingers made love to the strings…one beautiful note after the other. She thought she was alone, that no one heard her play. But I did. I heard every note, every tune, every vibrato. It drowned out the voices. Silenced the demons. It gave me peace. I’d hide in the shadows so I could get high on the music that stemmed from her soul. It was entrancing. Beautiful. Utterly hypnotic. She has no idea that I exist—that I live for the nights she performs for me, and me alone. But she will. Soon she’ll realize how important she is to me.My cellist. My soloist. My Requiem.Author's Note: The Villain's Captive was previously published as The Musician.

Book The Villain's Captive: A Dark Stalker Mafia Romance (The Villain's Duet Book 1) Review :

WOW! Y’all... this book... I honestly had no idea I was at the end until it finished! What a cliffhanger for book 2!I devoured this book. It was written so well that it was quick paced and kept my attention the whole time. This has some of the big things I love like, a stalker with an obsession with his woman, a hitman/ cold, unfeeling killer, a dominate male, gripping storyline, just enough twist to keep me into it, OH THE Steam 🥵 🔥Highlights for me & you:-This has a cliffhanger- so be prepared-cold, unfeeling killer (hitman kinda)-a dominate, slightly unhinged psychopathic alpha male 🤤-Aggresive and scary H (sorry this is how I love myPsychos)-mafia vibe (but it’s kind of out the outside, like he’s a hitman for those people but he’s no IN the mafia, it’s just part of the storyline)- sweet innocent heroine (not a virgin, one previous partner so still super innocent to me)-a cellist and a psycho with an obsession with her music-Stalker and obsession/addiction for the H toward the h-I love my romance books steamy but this one was actually without any bedroom screen until about 80%. HOWEVER this didn’t bother me because their tension and moments between them leading up were so hot 🥵-has childhood abuse/trauma that is described so if that’s a trigger skip those flashbacks.** I went into this book blind. I saw the cover, didn’t read the blurb and just decided I’d try it. I honestly thought I wouldn’t like it based off the cover itself but MAN, I was wrong and I’m thankful. I can’t wait for book to. Like what 👏🏼 happens 👏🏼 now!!! I neeeeeedddd to know! Ugh! Lol worth a read seriously.
BAM! Bella J. does it again! She has penned a beautifully written dark romance blended with so much heart, soul, beautiful music, love and of course it wouldn’t be a Bella J novel if it wasn’t also laced with blood lust, vengeance and a freaking yummy alpha male stalker I wished would follow and kidnap me.We have one sinner, Elijah Mariano aka The Musician. A hardened contract killer with cognac eyes and a loaded gun. A killer who relishes in his kills with absolutely no remorse. According to Elijah all he cares about is spilling blood, killing those who deserved it, and making their screams blend with the bold, heavy, and mighty sound of the orchestra reaching the crescendo… Why do they call him The Musician? Well, that’s a very good question. To bad my lips are sealed on that. He's also a man who loves classical music. He gets lost in the music. It calms him. Calms the insanity . Especially when he listens to a certain cellist play. Her music calms him and gives him peace and as he puts it, “Fate had me cross paths with the raven-haired cellist whose dance with the majestic instrument silenced and tamed every sliver of darkness that consumed him since the night he was changed from a boy to beast.”That night so long ago set in stone Elijah’s life trajectory. That night, innocence was violently lost. That loss has followed him, consumed him and made him into the monster he thinks he is. What happened that night? Again, lips still sealed. I will say this about it. It was gut wrenchingly terrifying and soul crushing. That event haunts me now as well. It stops your breath as well as stopping the breath of others. We have one saint, Charlotte Moore, a beautiful lonely woman who is mourning the death of her mother even 2 years later. The only family she had. She's struggling to get by even working two jobs. Charlotte is also a cellist. A woman who makes beautiful music in the dark. A woman who never plays to an audience. Or so she thought.Elijah and Charlotte. Two people living separate lives, or so it seemed. Living in their own darkness, their own private hell, and fighting their own inner demons. One's lonely and living with deep despair as well as living only half a life. The other is deadly, packing heat and has his sights on his next contract. Payment for a debt owed. A day of reckoning.Elijah is on a mission. His latest mission: Charlotte Leigh Moore. She has no idea he watches her, in the dark.Charlotte was supposed to be just a job, Just a contract. Now, she was an obsession. Now, she was his. That day of reckoning has arrived. Charlotte's life is suddenly turned upside down. Evil managed to punch through the depths of hell, threatening Charlotte's life when she's ripped from the only life she's ever known. However lonely that life may have been. Kidnapped and drugged. Her life, stolen right from under her. The only thing that they couldn't steal from her were the memories of her loving mother. Her free will has been stripped from her and her own familial identity is in question. And just around the corner, even more danger lurks close by.It's a race against time to get Charlotte out of harm's way. Both Charlotte and Elijah are catapulted towards a collision course with even more evil, betrayal, and danger. There is no rest for the wicked, I can tell you that! Now Charlotte's life is spinning out of control. Leaving her mind teetering between fear of the unknown, fear of the man who kidnaps her, and the betraying lust she feels for her captor. Both are afflicted with an undeniable attraction towards each other. And that attraction changes everything.Would that attraction save Charlotte's life or get them both killed? Will one taste of Charlotte be enough for Elijah? Will her killer captor be the death of her one way or the other? Can Charlotte find a much needed out of this dilemma? One cello, one woman, one man. Two broken souls who seek the calm and peace that music brings to them. Giving them both a reprieve from the darkness that haunts them and an escape from the crushing pain of the past. Two Musicians. One played the strings with a bow to make both flawless and beautiful music. The other played the strings of the woman who fed his addiction, became his obsession and calmed the raging beast inside. When all is said and done, will Charlotte and Elijah play beautiful music together and live happily ever after? Or will the powers that be come to collect a debt when they least expect it? Will they fly in, scoop Charlotte up up and away, sending her into another tailspin, and drop her right smack dab in the middle of uncertainty and life threatening danger as well as into the arms of familiar faces? Hmm…. I really do ask some great questions. But I have no answers because this book has ended on a great cliffhanger. It will be fun to find out. But alas, I have to wait for part 2 of this duet, The Soloist just like everyone else.I loved that even though Charlotte and Elijah are both shrouded in their own darkness, they are able to bring much needed light into each other's lives. That much needed light changes their life's trajectory once more and shows them the way to living more than half a life and the promise of a fulfilling one…The suspense factor as well as the sexytime is SIZZLING HOT AND EDGE OF YOUR SEAT EXCITING! I'm not joking around when I say this story got my juices flowing and my adrenaline pumping overtime.Twists? There are twists aplenty hiding in the pages of this book that are just begging to be revealed. Familial twists I.....NEVER.....SAW.....COMING!I swear to all that is holy that my tablet became an incendiary device when Elijah, or as I call him, MR. ELIJAHLICIOUS, spoke in the heat of the moment. I held on, waiting with baited breath for the next words to fall from his lips, sending me, the reader, into oblivion right along with Charlotte. If only in my head. Yeah, you could say that The Musician played me like a cello! There's sweet talk, dirty talk and at times there's no need for talk. That's when the music plays, and the mind seeks solace and inner peace inside the two people who deserve it most. Two people honoring two loves lost. Even if the music comes in the form of a little wooden dancing ballerina music box or straight from one man's obsession who never played for an audience. Who played only for her saving grace. A saving grace who comes in the form of a killer who calls her "My Little Cellist".Do yourself a favor and read this book.
